Blog Archives - Meredith J. Berlin -- The Ghost Light Kids Get Hooked

It was wonderful to work with old and new friends this past Wednesday at the Northeast library event.  50 participants listened to & watched scenes from The Ghost Light Kids Get Hooked, performed by Keara, Anthony, Sylvie and Larry.  The creativity really started flowing as kids gave suggestions and improvised scenes for Pickpocket, the upcoming sequel.  I really enjoyed watching kids and grownups I know from so many different places working together to create stories!  There were kids from my Seattle Children's Theatre classes, family friends, extended family members, Keara's past and present school friends, fellow authors and new friends as well.  Annie from Ravenna Third Place Books was there for participants who wanted a signed copy of the book.  Anybody who missed the event can pick up a signed copy at the store.  Last but not least, librarian and old friend Erica did such a great job of advising me, publicizing the event and making us all feel comfortable and welcomed at the library.  Thanks guys!  You really energize me.
